Footnotes!

In the interest of completeness I have added footnotes to the
Cadmus,
Tiresias,
Actaeon, and
Semele sequences. I am putting together footnotes for the Dionysus and Pentheus sequences currently so those should hit soon.
The Pentheus sequence is moving along well and should be wrapped up shortly. Soon we will meet Cadmus again to finish off his story and then we'll be moving into the story of Nycteus and Lyceus, the regents of Thebes. Keep checking back!

Dionysus Sequence More Than Half Done

The Dionysus sequence is dragging along;
dionysus17 has now dropped and soon we'll wave buh-bye to Lycurgus and get down to some proper piracy.
I lent out my copy of
the Bacchae recently, but as soon as I get it back and give it another reading I'll be starting the Pentheus sequence, which promises to be one of the more fun and bloody myths we'll cover. In the meantime the Regents sequence has been mostly completed (way ahead of schedule!) For a preview check out

Hello from Greece! I'm at an internet cafe on the isle of Rhodes where I just updated the lasted comic
dionysus11. Progress has been slow so far, but I promise it'll pick up soon. I plan to devote a good portion of the summer to Mythologia Illustrata.
On the downside, comments are still not working and the promised notes page has fallen by the wayside, but I plan to have both these injustices addressed in the next month. Check back soon, new updates are forthcoming.

Semele sequence is now done. The next sequence will be Dionysus and the first panel in this sequence should be posted tomorrow. All goes well.

So the story of Cadmus is finished (for now at least) and
Actaeon's story is beginning. The character index has also been updated and revised (Autonoë's name now consistently has diaeresis throughout). Comments are still not working, but I'll try to change that soon.
The footnotes page which I've been working on should be ready in the next couple of days. Unfortunately every single time I work on the page I keep finding more things that need to be footnoted. So the more work I do, the more work it seems that I have to do. So it goes. I'll try to have it posted later this week however complete it may be.
The next panel in the Actaeon series should be posted by Wednesday. Keep checking back often, the updates are going to keep coming quickly!

New Button Added!

Alright! The site is now shaping up quite nicely. I've added a link at the top of the page to the newest comic (which is currently
Cadmus14) and Google Ads should also be working now. Everything is going smoothly.
Cadmus14 was incidentally one of my favorite comics to draw. Battle scenes are very demanding, but also rewarding. There's definitely a love-hate relationship there. The coloring was particularly difficult, but obviously I'd better learn to like it. I'm planning on keeping this up and it's not like this will be the last battle scene I'll have to draw!

The newest panel (
cadmus11) is up and changes have been made to the character index. Pretty soon I'll have to split the character index into alphabetized sections, it's already becoming pretty unwieldy at it's current length. Maybe I'll tackle that later today or tomorrow.
Sorry about the fact that comments still aren't working. Hopefully I'll get that fixed soon; in the meantime keep checking back for more updates!
